Josh Dickens
Josh was born in Carlsbad, New Mexico, in 1981. He was raised in the countryside of a rural Kansas town, spending much of his day in the woods and local lakes. His time outdoors developed a sharp sense of beauty. In his early 20’s, he found glass while living in Golden, Colorado, through a ceramic instructor. From there, he learned countless techniques. Particularly, in the process of glassblowing, he likes how it involves complex and in-depth processes to make simple and fragile forms. He has always been drawn to the process of murrine, as the color possibilities and patterns are endless. Josh still spends most of his free time on rivers, when not in the hot shop, and is still influenced by nature in every work he crafts.
